Planned Giving
You
can have a significant impact in preserving and protecting Martha’s
Vineyard by making a planned gift. Become a member of the Vineyard
Conservation Society’s Founders’ Circle when you make a philanthropic
investment to carry forward the protection of Martha’s Vineyard long
after you are gone.
There are many tools you can use to include the Vineyard Conservation Society in your estate plans: A simple bequest, naming the VCS in your will or trust. A charitable remainder trust, providing income to the donor and other beneficiaries for their lifetimes, with the trust remainder passing to VCS thereafter. A retained life estate,
deeding real property to the Vineyard Conservation Society but
reserving a life estate that allows you the use and enjoyment of
property until your death. A life insurance policy naming the VCS as beneficiary. A retirement plan such an IRA naming the VCS as primary or successor beneficiary. If
you wish to consider including the Vineyard Conservation Society in
your estate plan, please contact our Executive Director, Brendan
O’Neill. We would be pleased to meet with you and/or your attorney to
discuss the potential benefits, both to you and your estate, and of
course to our commitment to environmental protection on Martha’s
Vineyard.
