The
Island is home to lots of beautiful trees and foliage. There are a number of amazing trees that are
considered landmarks by Islanders, and we need to protect them. This project represents all of the wonderful
trees on the Island that we need to continue to protect because they are a huge
part of our home. The dirt you see at
the base of my sculpture is from the Island.

This piece is based on my favorite part of the
island, the woods. It symbolizes the connection between the environment and
recycling. It is my attempt to illustrate that everything we have taken from
the earth will eventually be recycled back into it.
